Sciontec is pleased to welcome Spratt+Hamer to its Liverpool Science Park (LSP) site, having taken a 300 sq ft office within its iC3 innovation centre in May.
The acoustic consultant and building compliance testing provider offers end to end support, from initial acoustic design advice through to assessments for noise and vibration, in order to ensure customers comply with building regulations once projects are completed.
Spratt+Hamer are highly regarded within the UK construction industry, in part due to their UKAS accreditation, which demonstrates their long standing commitment to quality. They work right across the supply chain, with projects ranging from small office redevelopments to large scale student residential new builds, with recent work being undertaken within the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and Eton College in Windsor.
This year, Spratt+Hamer are celebrating their 25th anniversary and the timely decision to relocate their Headquarters to LSP is a signal of their ongoing drive to innovate, grow and inspire, particularly within the Knowledge Quarter Liverpool (KQ Liverpool) innovation district.
Rosanna Hynes, Operations and Quality Manager at Spratt+Hamer, said:
“We are really impressed with the modern office suites and onsite facilities at LSP, as well as the business community and programme of networking events which are ideal in helping us to make new connections.
“We have broadened our offering over the years to become more specialist within medical and educational settings, and being based within the KQ Liverpool part of the city will allow us to interact more effectively and learn from best practice within these leading regional sectors.”
Spratt+Hamer are also keen to speak to innovative companies working in the wider construction industry, who also look at activities from a different perspective. Their process driven work is born out of a laboratory focused environment, but one in which their white coats are high vis vests.
This novel approach also applies to their employment attitude. As part of their planned recruitment drive, Spratt+Hamer are looking to hire new recruits from the local Universities’ talent pipeline, especially young people with a scientific, engineering or maths mindset who have not considered construction for a career before. After all, an Acoustician is an engineer!
Their plans to grow include increasing the number of technicians based in the North West into double figures and expanding further into Greater Manchester, subsequently doubling their total headcount in the next few years.
