Labman expands Liverpool office by relocating to CENTRAL TECH

Back

The robotics and automation specialist expands in Liverpool, taking workspace with Sciontec.

Established over 40 years ago in Yorkshire, Labman creates advanced lab automation technologies, elevating its customers’ research or manufacturing processes with robotic hardware and software.

Earlier this year, Labman expanded their Liverpool satellite office into CENTRAL TECH, enabling further recruitment to better support its customers across the north west and internationally, as well as helping customers to develop improvements and new ideas.

Liam Adlen, Support Project Manager at Labman, said:

“Having outgrown our previous office, we started looking at other available options in the city centre. I was often walking past the CENTRAL TECH building thinking about how it would be the ideal space for us, and we were fortunate to be able to time our move with the refurbishment of the building.

“Following Sciontec’s recent transformation of the innovation centre, we were delighted to move into a large private office with amazing views of the cathedrals, giving us the space to  double our headcount over the next five years.”

With over 200 employees world-wide, across their North Yorkshire HQ and satellite offices, Labman is helping to shape the future of lab technology.

Their work spans a broad range of disciplines, including proof of concept and feasibility studies, design and assembly of pneumatic components, instrument development, mechanical and robotic engineering, software development, and full turnkey systems.

Customers include industry leaders like GSK, Roche, and Akzo Nobel, as well as other Sciontec customers at neighbouring Liverpool Science Park, like the Manufacturing Technology Centre, Centre for Process Innovation and the University of Liverpool.

Labman’s automation, technology and robotics solutions are implemented across a diverse cross section of sectors. Their systems form the backbone of many of the world’s leading laboratories involved in cosmetics and personal care product testing, paint formulation, and battery research.

Liam added:

“Essentially, we develop technologies to suit our customers’ unique needs,  integrating cutting-edge technology to enhance throughput, efficiency and precision.

Labman’s renowned culture and company ethos is mirrored in our new workspace at CENTRAL TECH, and we’re looking forward to using our base here to recruit more local talent and deliver increased support to our customers around the world.”
