HEMISPHERE One and Two will offer a unique combination of chemistry labs, data labs, bio labs and innovation labs, alongside incubator and grow-on space, with some of the world’s most advanced facilities.

 

Taking its name from the two sides of the human brain, HEMISPHERE will embody these characteristics, with each building showcasing its own individual personality and aesthetic while remaining fused through shared connections that allow the transfer of ideas and discoveries.

Located at Paddington Village, Liverpool City Council’s flagship, innovation-led development site in the heart of KQ Liverpool, the highly-sustainable buildings will feature Sciontec’s flexible, all-inclusive workspace product Sciontec AI, which has already proven hugely popular at neighbouring building The Spine.

Occupiers can also enjoy a wide range of amenities including a wellness suite, cycle storage with charging for electric bicycles, and shower facilities, combined with accessible green spaces to support the wellbeing of our occupiers and their teams.

It is expected that work will commence in Autumn 2025, with HEMISPHERE One ready to welcome occupiers by early 2027, followed shortly thereafter by HEMISPHERE Two.

16,000 sq ft floorplates

The flexible Sciontec AI workspace floors can accommodate around 160 people, but can be subdivided into two, three or even four individual suites to suit your needs. What’s more, we will provide you with a CAT-A finish so the space will be ready and waiting for you to put your stamp on it.

Labs

A total of 183,183 sq ft of laboratory space

Across the combined HEMISPHERE site, occupiers will have access to cutting-edge biology and chemistry laboratories, complete with wash up and write up facilities, and adjoining collaboration space. The site will also include a computer lab, innovation lab, and a hybrid lab environment that seamlessly integrates manual lab work, bench-top automated kit, large standalone robotic platforms and autonomous mobile lab robots driven by AI.

Home to some of Liverpool’s brightest minds

Located in the heart of the city’s Knowledge Quarter, HEMISPHERE One and Two are part of Paddington Village, which is home to The Royal Northern College of Physicians at The Spine, University of Liverpool International College and Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village. 

At the centre of all this will be an expansive public square, complete with trees, biophilia, street furniture and numerous places for people to relax and enjoy the Liverpool sunshine.

Getting Around

Bike

The bicycle store includes space for a generous 166 bikes and a variety of storage options will be provided suitable for different types of bikes. The facilities also include showers, lockers and vanity space.

Public Transport

Liverpool’s Lime Street and Central Stations are within walking distance. A pilot scheme is current in place at the Paddington Lime Line – a new rapid transit system – connecting Paddington Village to the main train stations and retail core.

Car

HEMISPHERE will have allocated spaces in the existing multi-storey car park at Paddington Village which has a total capacity of 1,250 cars and includes disabled parking bays and electric car charging points.
