Our wonderful Head of Property, FM and Operations, George Barclay, has been shortlisted as ‘Young Property Professional of the Year’ in the North West Young Professionals 2025 awards.
Insider has revealed the shortlists for their North West Young Professionals Awards 2025, which celebrate rising talent aged 35 and under across the region.
We are proud to confirm that our very own George Barclay has been recognised as one of the top Young Property Professionals within the north west, which is very well deserved.
Vibrant buildings often reflect the characters and leaders behind them, and that is certainly the case at Sciontec. George’s enthusiasm, flexibility and transparent approach permeate through the team and into the service they provide to customers, who in turn are given the confidence and support to grow and remain within the Sciontec community.
George has brought a fresh perspective and a new impetus to Liverpool Science Park since being appointed Head of Property, and with the facility now being 98% occupied, that feat can be directly correlated with George’s efforts to modernise the space, foster a genuine sense of community among its customers and ensure it meets the highest operational standards.
His work ensures Health & Safety is ingrained within Sciontec’s operation, having led the adoption of ISO 45001, the globally recognised standard for Occupational Health and Safety. George is also currently project managing the schedule of works for the transformation of Sciontec’s latest addition to its portfolio, CENTRAL TECH, ahead of its opening this May.
George continues to drive forward positive change and we believe that his undoubted impact will make him a worthy winner.
A panel of expert judges was consulted in order to decide on the shortlisted professionals, and winners will be announced at a black tie dinner in Manchester on 24 April.
This year Insider introduced a number of new categories to celebrate a wider range of sectors, including Young Hospitality, Leisure and Tourism Professional, Young Manufacturing Professional and Young Entrepreneur.
