Sciontec Developments Limited has been crowned one of the 2025 winners of the SME Business Elite Awards.

The Business Elite Awards are designed to highlight outstanding SMEs for their innovation, growth, and industry impact.

We are delighted to have been named as the ‘Best Science & Innovation Real Estate Developer 2025‘, following a successful period of growth for the business.

Over recent months, we have worked collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders and partners to deliver new tech workspace developments and modernise our existing estate of commercial laboratory space, helping to drive forward investment into the Liverpool City Region and supercharge the ambitions of the LCR Innovation Zone.

A significant milestone for us related to CENTRAL TECH, a highly connected innovation centre in Liverpool which has undergone a huge transformation following the transfer of ownership to Sciontec in March 2025, and then re-launched in under 10 weeks.

Ambitious new plans were also unveiled earlier this year for HEMISPHERE, our first new-build laboratory and innovative workspace development, to be located at Paddington Village, Liverpool City Council’s flagship development site. Morgan Sindall was also appointed as preferred contractor on HEMISPHERE One.

Additionally, Sciontec’s triple helix ownership structure sets it apart from other developers. Owned equally by Liverpool John Moores University, the University of Liverpool, Liverpool City Council and Bruntwood SciTech, the Sciontec share deal is unique, not just to Liverpool, but across the UK. This unprecedented synergy driven by its partners’ expertise and finance allows for greater innovation and environmental improvement within the science and tech industries across the city region.

The Business Elite Awards are run by SME News; a platform dedicated to celebrating and supporting UK SMEs through merit-led awards programmes, and are just one of a number of awards that Sciontec have won or are shortlisted for this year.
