We’re pleased to introduce Laura and Alex – the latest recruits to join Sciontec’s team!
Alex Ray
As Sciontec’s new Property Manager, Alex is responsible for overseeing our portfolio of innovation centres and workspaces.
His first three weeks have flown by, filled with customer meetings, site familiarisation, facilities management planning, supplier and contractor engagement, alongside a whole host of other strategic and operational activities.
Alex said:
“I’ve had a very busy start to my new role, and have enjoyed getting to know the people and places that make up the Sciontec ecosystem. I’m looking forward to putting some new ideas into practice and hope to have a positive impact on both our customer experience and onsite operations, both now, and long into the future.”
With a background in residential property management, Alex made the move to Sciontec having recently relocated to Liverpool City Region from Bristol. Now living in Wirral (with his adorable cat Toby), the self proclaimed foodie and sports fanatic is enjoying being closer to his beloved Everton FC, having previously made regular weekend trips up to Liverpool to watch his team play at home.
Laura Little
Laura joined us as Executive Assistant to CEO in May, working closely with Colin Sinclair and Sciontec’s senior management team.
With over 15 year’s experience in events management, and a further 10 years as PA to directors within the parcel delivery industry, Laura’s expertise have helped her hit the ground running, and she has fitted into the team seamlessly.
Her varied daily workload involves everything from facilitating meetings with senior stakeholders, procuring travel and accommodation, arranging the logistics for our charity fundraising activities, and supporting the team delivering of our IZ funded KQ Futures programme.
Laura said:
“Key highlights for me in this role so far include participating in the UK Innovation Districts Group 2026 Summit, which was held in Liverpool for the first time in June, as well as welcoming over 100 students from local secondary schools to The Spine to take part in KQ Liverpool’s third annual Career Insights Day.”
Outside of work, Laura regularly practices yoga and enjoys traveling to Greece to visit family. She also continues to be involved with the residential community garden that she helped set-up during COVID, which earned national coverage on BBC Breakfast and The Guardian newspaper!
