Sciontec to provide ultrafast connectivity at LSP

Innovation centre customers to benefit from enhanced internet speeds

Sciontec is investing in its digital infrastructure by upgrading the internet connectivity capabilities at Liverpool Science Park (LSP), to be able to offer every customer ultrafast connectivity.

The primary circuit capacity, which brings internet into the building, is being increased tenfold, which will allow customers to continue their world leading research with superior speeds.

George Barclay, Acting Head of Property, FM and Operations, said:

“Our customers are involved in some of the most innovative digital projects in the Liverpool City Region, so it is crucial that we provide them with best in class connectivity.

“This latest upgrade will not only give customers improved connectivity, but will also help to ensure continued reliability and security from the internet provision.”

LSP’s internet is provided by Essensys, a leading provider of software and technology.

James Shannon, Chief Product & Technology Officer, at Essensys added:

“In the modern workplace slow is the new down. Reliable, fast and secure connectivity is more important than ever to enable organisations to work more productively and we are very proud to be supporting LSP with improvements to their digital infrastructure.

“Upgrading the connectivity to this location brings with it great benefits such as more dedicated bandwidth per occupier, faster network performance, greater resilience and the ability to create a more seamless digital experience, all of which are extremely important when servicing companies working on cutting-edge digital projects.”

LSP is home to 60 of the region’s finest STEM businesses, many of whom are working within the big data, internet of things, and digital design fields.

Hannah Moorhouse, Director at LSP based Constructive Thinking, said:

“We use a suite of cloud based programmes and online platforms for our Building Information Modelling and architectural design work. Having the option to access the ultrafast internet at LSP will be a huge benefit for us, both in terms of daily operational efficiency and future proofing our connectivity requirements.”
