As we return to the office to put our exciting 2023 plans in place, we reflect on a successful past year for Sciontec.
We welcomed almost 30 new businesses into our spaces, from student start ups to global business units, helping to create jobs within Liverpool City Region and build upon the thriving innovation ecosystem already present at Liverpool Science Park and The Spine.
With enquiries for workspace being received on a daily basis, it was rewarding to see high occupancy levels across our sites, as well as increased engagement via Sciontec’s digital channels.
2022 saw a renewed focus on community and inclusivity for Sciontec, bringing people together again after a sustained period of remote working and online meetings. We enjoyed hosting in person events again, supporting local charities and running a month-long series of wellbeing activities for customers to participate in.
We were also honoured to have won 3 awards, particularly the Insider NW Regional Property Awards ‘Future Ambition Award’ for HEMISPHERE, as well as being shortlisted for ‘Developer of the Year’ and several other accolades.
In addition to the growth, promotion of and support provided for our business community, other highlights experienced by Sciontec over the past 12 months include:
– The launch of our Sciontec AI workspace in The Spine – a new approach to all inclusive workspace, ideal for health, life science, innovation and digitally focused companies.
– Hosting numerous high profile delegations and visits to our buildings, including Sir Kier Starmer and Rachel Reeves.
– Setting our new website and customer portal live, enhancing our digital presence and improving the user experience for existing customers, prospective customers and colleagues.
– Planning approval was received for Sciontec’s first new build, HEMISPHERE, which will be Liverpool City Region’s first operational net zero carbon building, and a unique new space for leading creative, technology and health focused organisations to call home.
What a year 2022 was! But with outstanding new workspaces coming to the market, new business support initiatives to launch and a whole host of events being planned, 2023 is set to be our best yet!
