Labour Party leader emphasises the importance of innovation in recent visit
Sciontec was honoured to welcome Sir Keir Starmer to Liverpool Science Park this week.
The Labour Party leader began his visit at The Spine in Paddington Village to deliver a keynote speech, in which he said: “We’re in the Knowledge Quarter with innovation all around us.”
He also emphasised that delivering economic growth for the UK would be Labour’s main priority if it won the next general election.
Sir Keir Starmer later spent time within Liverpool Science Park, hosted by Sciontec CEO, Colin Sinclair, and Marketing and Policy Manager, Rachael Patterson, learning about the ground breaking health, life sciences, and technology work being undertaken within its innovation centres.
Following this, Sir Keir Starmer was given a tour of the MTC’s Digital Manufacturing Accelerator in LSP, to see their robotics and digital manufacturing capabilities in action, before undertaking a number of national media interviews.
Summarising the visit, Colin Sinclair, CEO of Sciontec and KQ Liverpool, said: “It’s great to hear such strong support for the knowledge economy, our partnerships with Universities and industry, and the outstanding innovation taking place within KQ Liverpool.”
